• Monmouth Battlefield is a New Jersey State Park commemorating one of the largest battles of the American Revolution, famed for the legend of Molly Pitcher. This new state-of-the-art visitors center showcases the battle with interactive exhibits, maps, uniforms and artifacts.
• After performing the shut-off of all existing power systems, one wing of the old building was demolished and a new addition constructed. New electrical service was brought in and light, telecommunications, fire alarms and lightning protection were installed.
• The highlight of the project was the lighting package synced precisely to an audio-visual presentation depicting the battle. Extensive planning and coordination was key to the success of this ambitious piece of programming. Housed in the new theater/lecture hall, the fully automatic light show reacts to the movie narration by mimicking day, night and dawn through use of specialized lighting controls and filters. Along with maps and animation, this system creates an entertaining and educational experience for the viewer.
• The State of New Jersey now has a modern, attractive home in which to welcome visitors to this historic site.
